Bill and Michelle Gitmed would like to welcome you to our website – PanPlayer.com. PAN has been a game we have enjoyed for many years and now we hope to share that excitement with everyone. We invite those that already love the game as well as those who are curious about learning a new form of entertainment.
PAN is Bill’s strength and Michelle’s is shopping so we also have a section called ”Mimi’s Gift Corner”. Mimi is what our grandchildren call Michelle so we named it using their term of endearment. Mimi's Gift Corner provides gifts for family and friends at reasonable prices and Michelle is always updating it.
Panplayer.com is in the business of providing information and supplies to individuals and companies to further the interest and expansion of the game of PAN. Panplayer.com works closely with casinos to encourage the playing of PAN. In return we have made arrangements with some casinos to obtain their slightly played PAN decks to be resold commercially by Panplayer.com.
PANGUINGUE (PAN) It's a very unusual rummy like game that has a gambling effect to it. I learned this game from family members nearly 30 years ago and I think it’s pretty interesting, challenging, exciting and just down right fun to play. Once you learn the game of Pan it can become addicting. Below are some of characteristics of the game.
Players: 2 to 15, but best for 6 to 8.
Cards: 320 (8 decks) Rank (K Q J 7 6 5 4 3 2 A) The 8s, 9s, and 10s are not used.
Deal: Each player recieves ten cards dealing to the right.
Play: On each turn, each player takes either a card from the top of the deck or discard pile and can use it to meld if possible. After making any meld, the player discards one card and ends his or her turn.
The melds include:
• Sequence: Three cards of the same suit in sequence. Must start as three cards and then can be built onto.
• Group: Three cards of the same rank of entirely different suits or the same suit. Must start as three cards and then can be built onto. Players are only allowed to build onto their own melds. Cards in a meld can be used for other melds only if at least three cards can remain. Melds: When melds are put in place, chips are collected by the melding player immediately. The type of meld determines the amount of chips recieved:
• A group of value cards (3, 5, or 7) in different suits: 1 chip
• A group of value cards in the same suit: 4 chips for spades, 2 chips for others
• A group of non-value cards (not 3, 5, or 7) in the same suit: 2 chips for spades, 1 chip for others.
• A sequence of A, 2, 3: 2 chips for spades, 1 chip for others.
• A sequence of K, Q, J: 2 chips for spades, 1 chip for others.
The game is won after someone has eleven cards melded on the table. At that point, the player collects two chips from each player for winning, and then collects again for his or her melds.
Game End: I would assume players retire if they lose all their chips. Whoever has the most chips or all the chips at any point will win.
